Baldwin family papers, 1779-1917.

Primarily correspondence between and among generations of a Canterbury, Connecticut family, namely siblings Amy, Esther, Hannah and Elijah Baldwin, Jr. and Elijah Jr. and Sarah Baldwin's children Hannah, Henry, Sarah (who married Brooks Hadley), Lucy, Helen and Abram. Includes probate records, deeds and land surveys, accounts, court documents, military exemptions, bills of sale, bills and receipts, and political memorabilia for additional family members, notably David and Festus Baldwin. Elijah Baldwin Sr. and Jr. were both physicians, the first in Canterbury, the second in Plainfield, Connecticut. Of note are tax and other records from the town of Canterbury.
